We had the most wonderful stay at this luxurious hotel. The location, nestled in a gated community away from any external hustle and bustle, provided us with a peaceful and serene environment. The view from our room's windows was absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the stunning lakeside. The hotel's setting in a beautifully renovated old castle added a unique charm to our stay.
Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Chateau de Coudree is everything you would expect from its website - just gorgeous! The location on the shore of Lac Leman is superb, as is the chateau itself. We stayed in a family room which was very comfortable for a family of 4. As it was not yet peak season (we stayed in late June) the restaurant and swimming pool were not yet open, but the (heated) spa on the lakefront more than compensated for the lack of a pool (which would have been a little cold, even in June).

Beautiful chateau on the shore of Lake Geneva. The restaurant was spectacular and the food was excellent.
The area surrounding the chateau was dull with lots of modern properties. There was nothing else to do in the immediate area and a lack of atmosphere in the hotel itself. We were given a split level room with bedroom upstairs with a low ceiling which made it claustrophobic and quite dangerous. The room would not suit the elderly. The shower screens were comical!

We stayed at a hotel by the lake in a gated community which was isolated from other restaurants but this hotel had all the facilities we needed. The hotel was situated in a perfect location, overlooking the serene Lake of. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a good-sized bathroom. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and provided excellent services.
Nothing all exceptional.

great location on the lac and near Yvoire. Very romantic and quiet because off season.Vew is amazing from the castle.
Off season resulted in no restaurant possibility in hotel and very few people to interact with. also the pool and bar are not really opperating so it takes away from full experience.

The castle is as advertised, authentic and right on the lake. Interesting rooms, friendly staff (who speak English), beautiful gardens. it would be a great spot for a wedding or family function.
If traveling with kids, suggest that you don't go to the restaurant for dinner. It's too expensive and fussy for the children. I also didn't like the fact that the swimming pool is located next to the restaurant - I was very aware of how loud my kids are (which doesn't make for a relaxing evening for anyone).

Nothing
Poor standard of decoration - old, musty, torn entrance carpets health hazard carpet torn on steps easily leading to fall. Advertised swimming pool empty with weeds and plants growing. Advertised 'lake view' only by hanging out of window.

Beautiful 12th century castle turned hotel. Right on the shores of the lake it has a private beach, as well as a jacuzzi overlooking the lake. Breakfast is served in tables by the lake. We stayed at the "Donjon" Room which is on the top of the main tower of the castle which was a once in a lifetime experience. Big room with amazing views. A great experience overall.
Its on the expensive side. The restaurant is nice and very gourmet, not ideal for young children.

The castle itself was beautiful and the room was very clean! We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed by the location! Thank you for making this day a very special one for us!

The location of the hotel was great, with beautiful views of the lake and easy access to local restaurants. The hotel grounds were well-maintained and the restaurant served delicious food. the staff was friendly and helpful.
The rooms themselves felt outdated and overpriced for what they offered. We also experienced some issues with cleanliness and the smell of mildew.

The hotel was typical French, beautiful with a little need of updating. A lovely historic building in a wonderful location next to the lake. The grounds allowed for safe private parking and a small bay was an easy walk away. The hotel was well sign posted. Boat rides, cycle rides, tennis court and swimming pool all accessable.
We were however unaware that the hotel's resturant was closed tuesdays and wednesday but when open the food was extremly good although was fuuly booked and it was only because of the helpful efforts of the reception staff and resturant manager that we were fitted in.

What I did not like was the fact the chateau is definitely 'tired'. We were not given our reserved room on arrival and had to press for a satisfactory room. The chateau caters for weddings which is obviously a good source of income, but almost to the detriment of the other guests - we felt a little like 'also rans'.
